Why we Like Halloween

Una de las cosas que más nos gustan del Día de las Brujas, o Halloween, son los disfraces tan creativos que podemos encontrar. Pero olvidémonos de los disfraces de hombres lobos, espantos, zombies, etc., y enfoquémonos en los disfraces que nos gusta ver en ellas. Y es que ir a fiestas de disfraces donde nos podamos encontrar a toda nuestra fantasía, con mujeres vestidas de policías, enfermeras, hadas, heroínas, colegialas, vampirezas, brujas pero brujitas, en fin, de todo lo que nos podamos imaginar. Y es por eso que mostramos nuestros disfraces preferidos que nos encantan que ellas usen.

One of the best things we like about Halloween are the creative costumes we can find. But let’s for now forget about the zombies, ghouls, ghost and werewolves costumes for a moment and focus on the ones we like to see on the ladies. And let’s be honest, going to a Halloween party can be like walking in on a big wet fantasy, with all the beautiful women dressed as schoolgirls, nurses, fairys, heroines, vampires, cops, naughty witches, etc. And that is why we are going to show you some of our favorite costumes we hope to see this year.

Su trayectoria como artista comienza en las calles de Montreal en el otoño del 2001, fue inicialmente la idea de tener más caminos para ciclistas y una «cultura de carro» lo que motivó a realizar sus creaciones. Incluso fue arrestado por sus actividades nocturnas, pero recibió una leve sentencia, la cual atribuye gracias a sus seguidores. Es por eso que mostramos ciertos proyectos urbanos de este gran artista y esperamos ver muchos más!

Began his artist career painting the streets of Montreal on the fall of 2001, and initially was motivated with the idea of having more bike paths and a «car culture». He even was arrested for the nocturnal activities, but only served a brief sentence thanks to the public support. That’s why we share some of the projects and paintings of this great artist and hope to see more and more each day and all around the globe!

Desde el post de Neue Magazine y sus diferentes tipografías de las ciudades de Nueva York, Barcelona y Berlín, acá en Mantaraya’s hemos estado trabajando para ver como hacemos lo mismo por nuestro lindo país: Guatemala. Esperemos que les guste con lo que hemos creado (no es mucho pero algo es algo) y esperamos que muchos se inspiren por esto y creen arte por Guate.

Since the post of Neue Magazine and their different typefaces from the cities of NY, Barcelona and Berlin, we here at Mantaraya’s came up with a few of our own dedicated to our beautiful country: Guatemala. We hope you like them (their aren’t a lot but a few counts) and we hope that this inspires all of you to create something beautiful for your country.
